You'll get married and maybe celebrate and buy that house next to the lake. If you land without a single break, you'd better hit the ground running.

I was born beneath a cluster of stars and I do believe that they were telling a lie, because you think the tears in your eyes are filling up the balances every time you cry when in truth they just run away into the sea.

I sat piecing a puzzle back to a picture that might make me laugh but in the end I just felt that I'd been at it too long. So I scrambled the tiles and walked away trying to make sense of this array of nonsense, colors and rainy days; it all just seemed wrong. I asked a wise man what he thought was right and he said that, "Nothing comes without a price. Everything circles through dark and light, the scales are all there". But the next day his house burned down, his wife left him and then skipped town. I found him sprawled out on the ground choking on the word, "fair".

I just sit and watch the lights bathe the cars and I think of every person born to die. We're all stuck in a river that's wide and the waters will fill up your lungs if you begin to cry because in truth we're just floating away into the sea.
